LED vs. Halogen Headlight Distance Test

LED vs. Halogen Headlight Distance Test

In this video, I conduct a head-to-head comparison of LED vs. halogen headlight bulbs measuring the brightness at three different distances to prove that light from LED bulbs travels farther than halogens.

In the past, I only compared the brightness of LED against halogen bulbs at close range (3 feet). This is the first time I ever performed an LED vs. Halogen Headlight Distance Test at three different distances. The results were surprising!

I found that the LED was 42% brighter than halogen at 3 feet, but LED was 101% brighter than halogen at 75 feet. Halogen lights lose their effectiveness faster than LED lights.

Buy the RCP K7 bulbs on Amazon

This was my first time using the RCP K7 bulbs and I was extremely impressed in the quality of the bulbs, the way they perform, and the price. They are a bargain compared to other high-end bulbs.

Awesome analysis on the RCP H11 LED headlights Handydad!
I have been searching in-vain for the perfect led for projector low beams on Toyota camry. The closest I have found so far is the Lightening Dark H11 – 10000 lumens. Have you by any chance tested these or any other brighter thin filament LEDs for projector lights? Thanks in advance!

Hey Chris, I enjoy your YouTube channel very much. I have a question about the RCP lights. Is there a way to verify what make/model vehicle the lights will fit into? I’ve tried searching for their website, but can’t seem to find one. I’ve also tried searching on Amazon, but have yet to find any answers.

Your owner’s manual should tell you all the bulb sizes in your car, including the headlights. The other alternative is to add your car to your Amazon Garage. Then just search for “headlights” and it will only show bulb sizes that fit your car. Once you know the size, you can find the right RCP LED bulbs to fit your car.
